Hi all,

I am interested in getting cruise control for my TE Executive, I have so far only gotten one quote, and wanted to run it by the forum here and see what people think.

The quote is for the electric cruise control (the vacuum type are $100 cheaper, but he recommended the electric), and there are 3 options. It is also a mobile service. The options are as follows:

Steering Wheel Stalk - $750 supplied and fitted
Steering Wheel Switch - $795 supplied and fitted
Paddle Switch - $795 supplied and fitted

Firstly, how are the prices? Do they sound about right?
Secondly, which type would people recommend out of the above 3?

Thanks,
glenb83

~$800 doesn't sound too bad to me, cause it's a fairly tedious process. They really do a fair bit of work to get it in.

As for which one, get the paddles. The stalk doesn't look that great. The switch is ok, but I'd still be leaning towards the paddles.

Gee, I never realised how much aftermarket cruise control cost! My dad had cruise control installed in a RAV4, and he said it wasn't very good. Things may have changed though, and it probably depends on the car as well.
