Hai,

I have searched and couldnt find what i was after so appologies if there is an article answering my question.

I have a 98 Magna Executive that I am slowly replacing in terms of sound. My setup is as follows:

Pioneer Head Unit - 200W Dual Preouts
Pioneer 6" front speakers - 3 Way 220W
Pioneer 6x9 rear speakers - 3 Way 300W
Pioneer 12" sub - 1000W
Clarion 4 channel amp - Clarion APX4240 4x60W 4 Ohms [or 4x90W into 2 Ohms (sorry, i'll have to check)]

My plan is to run the 6x9s off the head unit and the 6's and sub off the amp. Im sure this is possible, however i was looking at the manual and could not find a wiring diagram for the scenario im after. (it showed various setups).

The manual can be found at http://www.clarion.com/us/en/MungoBlobs/903/421/APX4240.pdf if that helps.

My question is, how can i achieve this?
appologies for it being rather general but im at a loss.
Thanks.

You will need to:

Hook the amp up with the Red Power cable / Earth cable / Remote turn on. These 3 wires will make it work.

With the rear of the headunit you need to send out your signals. The rears will need to be hooked up straight from the deck. The other low levels will be sent to the amp via the RCA cables. You will need 2 pairs of RCA.

Now you have the signal cables sending the music to your rears and your amp will have signals for the fronts and the sub. Now you obviously have to hook up your speakers and sub. Hook your fronts in stereo mode from channels 1 & 2 and the sub bridged on channels 3 & 4. High pass the fronts and Low pass the sub. Questions??:D
