Went to hop in the car yesterday, all elec power there, but engine no go broooom :(
Checked the fuses under the bonnet & when I removed that 20amp one, heard something click/clunk (like resetting), put it back in - same sound - & the engine fired.
Went to start maggie this morning, same problem...same fix :)

Thing is, if she's gunna start proper, that click/clunk isn't there if I pull the fuse!!!

I'll bet it's Electronically Controlled Injection, as in "ECI Multi". In other words the fuel injectors.

Maybe check that the fuse terminals are free of corrosion, could be just a build up of corrosion stopping proper contact between the terminal and the fuse. Just guessing really but it seems logical considering it works when you remove and refit it.

Check the ignition relay......................it's the only thing that goes click and fires up the starter solenoid!!!!

As magnanamouse said, the click/clunk is a relay activating. Could be that the relay is dodgy, and not "click/clunk"ing when it should be? Pocket a spare at he wreckers and swap 'em, see if there is any difference.
