My TS has had it's battery die and it's on a slight slope. If I jack it up at the front to work on the suspension is the car likely to roll backwards?
I am hoping it doesn't really matter if the park brake is at the back of the car, but still if anyone know if it's doable let me know.

Its doable but very dangerous. Get a fresh battery and move the car elsewhere. You dont want your head getting crushed by an unstable car.

Also put some chocks/bricks etc behind the tyres just to be on the safe side if you must do it on a slope.

I personally wouldn't risk it... my mates brother had his car fall on him years ago busting his ribs... his mother ran out and one of those freak moments of strength lifted the car enough to get him out... in doing so put herself out of work for the rest of her life stuffing her back.
Any possibility of rolling the car back and turning it side on to the slope?

There are three other cars that use the driveway so probably not. The interior of the car is completely stripped so I guess if I put it all back together and jumpstart it I could move it. But that is going to take a couple of days.

Oh if its gonna take a couple of days then by all means its worth getting decapitated by a rotor.

Nah my point was I just wanted to jack it up so I could work on the suspension where it didn't matter if it was actually running or not. But if I want to move it to level ground I gotta put it all back together, which will take days.

Enough said, dont attempt to go under a car jacked on a hill. Cant find somewhere flat or a relatives house, mates house where you can do this flat?

yeah don't
bloke i knew from rexnet went under his car and it dropped on him
he's in a wheelchair now and he was only 23 when it happened
if it's on a flat surface you're fine but on a slop forget it
not worth it at all

Yeah it's sorted now, I took yesterday off and put the interior back together and now I just gotta buy a battery charger or something so I can move it. I put jumper leads from a mates VS on for half an hour but it didn't give it enough to start the car.
This thread reminds me a few years back my housemate was rotating his rear tires, on a small slope so he had the handbrake on, then without thinking he jacked up the rear. The car went down a big hill with the jack and all, straight into a tree, lol I saw the whole thing. Noone got hurt.

Its not rocket science working out what will happen if you lift the braking wheels off the ground on a hill lol
