i'm thinking of getting a 380 next year, most likely an series 1 or 2 ES cos it's a big jump up in price to a VRX in NZ (currently NZD20g for an 05 ES and more like NZD28g for VRX).

Just wondering about the standard head unit, does it have an AUX input for an iPod? this is very important for me cos i never listen to the radio or CDs - only ipod and the ipod radio transmitters are not a possibility for me as the sound quality sucks.

i believe the upper spec models have headunits combined with the a/c controls, but should be fairly straight forward to remove the ES headunit and replace with an aftermarket one? also can the stereo controls on the steering wheel be hooked up to an aftermarket unit?

There is an adapter out to intergrate the steering wheel controls into new compatible head units. The adaptor is 299 RRP, though I have'nt shopped it yet.:D

I just upgraded to an iPod touch and the interface still works great. Don't know if it is available here as yet but you can get it from US dealers. Check out:

Yeah about the stock stereo ... The models with the lcd screen that combines climate control etc with stereo ... Can this be changed? I'm thinking of getting a 380 but i drove one in Brisbane for work and the stock stereo sounded crappy. I'm sure i'd need to change it within a few weeks lol

So you can just get the facia off the lower 380 model? Anyone done it?
