people,

Tonight i finally decided to wire up me verada console ( the power sockets and yada) so i got out the solder and hacked up my exisiting ciggi lighter wires and spliced them so i could run both power outputs for the verada one. i didnt get the lights done but.
after i finished i reversed me car out of the garage and realised that none of my dials were lighting up ( see pics) and neither were my rear lights, but the stop lights would come on.!?
i checked every fuse bonnet and footwell and the only one gone was me indicator one ( which im guessing is why its buzzing on left signals.)
i checked the rear light bulbs and they werent blown either!? what the f**k have i done?
i ripped it all apart and disconnected everything i did and it still wont work!?
the air con light turns on and so do all me warning and gear lights but no dials on dash or vent control!?
please help me!
Cheers, hedgie

the white earth wire looks dodgy if only held on with the screw
make sure its making metal to metal contact

This is not relevant to your current problems but heat shrink tubing will do a better job and last better than the insulation tape.

You slide it on before you join the wires, solder the wires, slip the tubing back over the joint and then aim a heat gun at it. Probably would work with a hair drier too although I haven't tried that.

ahh yeah i know the stuff now, i was using something similar earlier. but without the heat gun.

So i disconnected the ground. :( wasnt the miracle i was hoping for lol. ill replace this fuse at lunch that i thoguht was indicator see if that fixes it all
