Hey all,

A friend of mine managed to dislodge the left-hand side skirting after coming off a kerb.
Does any know how to fit it back on. He is not sure what else was damaged. The front end
si still attached however, the rear has come off.

TIA.

The ralliart skirts are held in by screws at the bottom, and clips at the top.

Which part of the skirt has come off?
If he has dislodged the bottom he'll need to get the holes fixed up, if he has dislodged the top i'd say he's snapped a few clips, you'll need to take the whole skirt off to replace them.

Ew, sounds like a fun job either way.

Stuff having skirts if this is what happens.

Borrowed moparcm ralliart's pic and modified it to show where the damage is

Very strange, has it dislodged that much or is that exaggerated? For it to do that it's snapped clips and pulled out screws, wtf did he hit?
Pretty sure the rear end of the skirt is held in by clips, and the front end is held in by a big screw. 50% chance i'm wrong though lol.
Just take a peek inside where its come off and you'll soon know.

My advice:
Take the whole skirt off, this involves unscrewing it from teh bottom, and then unclipping along the top, and one screw at the end.
Once you've got it off, grab a sample clip and take it into Repco, they sell x5 for about $4. Hopefully you've only snapped teh clips and not the actual things that hold them in. You may also need to use double sided tape if you've broken the screw holes along the bottom.

He was doing a uey at night which involved getting the left front wheel onto the kerb.
Getting on it was via the driveway but when getting off it, he went straight off the kerb
at speed so the car went down and hit the kerb.

The vertical gap at the rear is about 10cms.

theres also a little bracket on the rear dog let it would have pulled through it will be still attached to the body. the top edge is held on with double sided tape and like Leigh says the rest is clipped and screwed on.

That's your solution to everything :P. But, yeah i'd have to say that would be the best choice and if worst comes to worst he'd have to buy a new skirt.
