Okay Got a TF auto 97 magna advance.

Last 5 month on 12*,000k got time belt, spark plugs done.

Oil/filter changed last week on 129,000. I do checks on my coolent and powersteering oil every now and then.

I heard getting injectors clean in a special way will improve car proformance e.g sluglish and use less petrol. So i think i might be getting that down.

Other thing is I notice i havent had done anything with the auto transmission oil or the brake oil.

Btw i dont have a auto tranmission dipstick, would putting down a few capsfull be enough or do i acutally need to go purchase the dipstick.

Anyone know how much it would cost for injectors clean?

oops, only seen this now

I havent really noticed MUCH of a difference, altho it seems to respond a little better... and definately not as sluggish however I was actually hoping it would fix my idling problem, my car has been idling at like 600 since i bought it and i've changed the sparkplugs and this was my 2nd go at trying to fix it (to no avail)...

And I do use Optimax... but I've heard that the only one thats 98 RON is Mobil Synergy 8000 (which i haven't used yet) ??? :? Use to use Vortex... but thats crap ....

Tried to turn the idling screw a bit yet?

According to Shell and other "formal" intel, Optimax is 98. If not - then there should be a helluva class action against them.
I find others than Otimax not as good, but then again....

Sorry but no, optimax does not clean carbon off the pintle

cHrYsTaL, clean the TB and then re set the base idle, providing the ISC is ok this will fix your problem

Madmagna: The guy said that the he cleaned the tb when he did my injectors ... I'm not sure if he reset the base idle cos when we booked it in we didn't actually tell him it was idling low.... so yeah... I'll check it out.. Thanks! :)

how do you reset the base idle? Is there just a screw you can turn to change the idle up and down or does it mean it has to be hooked up to a computer at a workshop to do that???
