Just one more question. :) The splits I am looking at are the Clarion SRS1686 but I am unsure if they will fit in the door of my 2000 Magna VR-X. Clarions website says it is 60.5mm from the ... wow I don't know so much of the terminology. :) I'll just put the gif link below and if someone can tell me if there is enough space to fit it, then great!

I have a set of Clarion SRS1625's
Bit low on power (40WRMS) but a very nice speaker for the money.
They look killer too, only letdown with mine is the foam surround

After listening to them in JB today I fell in love with Alpines SPR-17S. Anyone have much experience with them? They sounded incredible and they are shallower then the Clarions I mentioned because I was a little worried they might not fit, but they are 59mm deep.

whats your pricerange on splits? jb hifi ppl etc dont know sh*t about splits, only sell what brands they have/whats on special, so if you give us a max budget, we may be able to lean u towards something else :)
next time ur in jb hifi, ask the salesman wat he thinks of morel or focal... more than likely u'll just get a stunned blank look ;) and then he'll start saying how their alpines are better :P

lol That wouldn't surprise me at all. My budget is around $300 for the splits.

Where do you live? There are a few places in Sydney like Fhrx Studios, Lifestyle Store, Ryda, Doran etc. Maroochy Car Sound in Qld, plus more. All have really good web sites that you can order off.
