I had never heard of the brand of wheel before but i loved the thin spoke and open look to them. The actual quality of the rim seems quite good to my untrained eye. But alas i am not a rim aficionado!

looks great, all blends in well without being over the top!

I'm finding on the 245 rubber that my wheelspin from standing start has mostly disappeared.

With yours being a manual you should be able to put more power down before breaking traction to help that 1/4mile time...

Let us know if it is better than the stock rubber in that regard.

It certainly is better for traction but the ride is now pretty jiggly. Maybe i should have gone to 40's instead of 35's. One thing that worries me is the oversteer on the limit has virtually disappeared! Bugger, i really enjoyed that! I might have to reconsider the rear alignment settings and give it another half mill toe out on each side. That should fix it.

Yep, I'm finding it's a little bit jiggly on 40 series but ok, and it tramlines a fair bit more on uneven road surfaces so I have to pay attention a bit more than before.

With the extra grip I don't have the b*lls to try oversteer at the limit on the road so I'll have to wait for a track day or summin...:D

Nice avatar BTW - best one yet!

(hard to keep up, how many changes is that now?? :P :P :P )

Thanks Richard! I actually missed out on Winton yesterday because on of my mates failed to remind me that it was on... Anyhoo, i shall be going to Apollo Bay via the back roads tomorrow evening so will be having a red hot go and seeing how it performs.

BTW, have you noticed that the turn in response with the 19's on low profile tyres is very fast ? Almost go kartish. Very precise!

Arrghh!

Now I'm really jealous :swearing:
Those roads are just awesome. Just be careful out there, bro.

Ah, you've got the advantage of better springs (see; there was always going to be an upside after your saga :) )
so I can't say my handling has really changed except that grip is much, much better. Maybe it is a lttle more responsive, yes.

I was very careful buddy and i tell you now my 380 is a much better handler than the TF! One of the sweetest handling cars i have driven. Totally controllable and the roadholding was outstanding. Love the road! :bowrofl:

That's great to hear.
I just wish we had some roads up here that could do justice to the car. There are some, mind you, that our QLD cruz will do on Sunday, but not as scenic or as long.
