Hi All,
I've done a quick search and couldn't find what I was looking for.
My Dads TJ II Magna has developed an unusual squeel.
From the front right hand side, when steering gentley, or turning to the right a low squeel can be heard.
I first noticed it negotiating a car park going from lock to lock. Only on right hand corners.
When I wound the window down I could hear the squeel as I changed lanes to the right, and negotiated right hand bends.
I was not driving vigerously.
As soon as a manouver was complete and wheels were pointing straight ahead again the squeel would cease.

Could this be the wheel bearing letting go? If so is it a difficult job.
Dad also still has new car warranty ... is this likely to be covered by the manufacturer.

Cheers
David

On a car of that age it is more likely to be the power steering belt needs tightening.

I had a similar problem to what you are having and it ended up being the brake pads

Why would it only squeek when turning to the right though?

It sounds similar. Dad had his brake pads replaced about 7K ago, and discs machined.
This sound has only appeared in the last week.
