tonight when i pulled my keys outta my car my head unit and amps and clock stayed on :S

nothing much i can do about it now cos its dark, i turned the car on again and turned it off, same thing.

Im thinking maybe a 12v line and some other line is touching? Any other suggestions?

I pulled the neg terminal off so i can actually drive in the morning

have you had any probs with your ingnition recently? Not startin?
Maybe the switch is sticky, needs some silicone spray or lube.....

You may be able to pull the keyswitch out of it's mount and check if any wires are touching, disconnected or earthing incorrectly. It should also help see if your switch is sticky (as trotty said) If that's not the problem then i'm out of ideas lol, and you'd probably have to go searching for some continuity issue.

I would say let it go for 30-60 seconds and see if it turns off by itself, but it would do that all the time, not all of a sudden.

Breaking down the problem:
The headunit's ACC power in is getting power. Why? Maybe there's a short in the HU? Maybe the power/acc wire is touching each other (i find it hard to believe they'd both be exposed, unless it's a dodgy install, but even then i'd expect the power wires to touch ground and blow before they touch each other). So then you need to trace back the 2 wires to where they originate from, maybe a busted relay? Don't know much after that sorry.

well i pulled my dash out and fixed it.

The wires had somehow come to touch (the constant and ignition i thinks) so i taped them all up and its fixed now :)

Good work mate!

It's so much more satisfying when you solve problems yourself without having to pay someone...and you feel good about yourself!

Then again it's much more frustrating when you **** up heh!
