I seem to get a clanging noise from under my car when ever I drive over a speed bump or something elevated. I was thinking that it could be the exhaust but I really have no idea. I realise that it could be a million different things but does anyone have an idea on what it is likely to be?

Any help greatly appreciated!

haha. i've already been onto this for a while now, i'll share with you with what i know so far,

possible causes are:
1) wore shocks
2) wheel roller bearings
3) lower control arm bearing/ball mount
4) engine mount (unlikely but possible)
5) Exhaust pipe hitting the fire wall to the fuel tank.
6) Strut tower assembly.
7) steering rack

Yep, I do have a tow bar which I will soon be taking off. I'll check that out tonight when I get home though.
