Ive got a V6 TS magna auto
It is showing a error code 63 for the trans
In the workshop manual it says the error is described as
"short -circuited torque reduction execution signal line"
The remedy is to
"check torque reduction execution signal line"
Im not sure what they are referring to? I checked the solenoids and they check out ok.
Is it referring to electrical problem or in the hydraulic circuit?
Any ideas?
The symptom is when driving and coming to stop it feels like ive been shunted from behind but it only does it when it has overdrive engaged, But having overdrive engaged is for normal driving which makes it a pain.
thanks

Electrical. It is a signal that comes when the gearbox is in between gears (ie. changing) and tells the ECU to drop the torque to reduce wear on changing.

If the signal is on for too long, the ECU flags an error code. Chances are the wire is shorted to ground somewhere on the chassis.

Start at the ECU and work back - it will be wherever the loom goes through a bulkhead/firewall I would say.

I don't have the 2nd gen wiring diagrams or I would be able to give you more of a clue.

I talked to technician at mitsubishi and it could be either hydraulic or electrical problem causing error 63
He also said driving with overdrive on is normal everyday driving which it also says in user manual.
You will get better economy even around city
