1) Trying to find out if the MAF sensor on the 2l SOHC engine used in the CG/CH lancer needs a specific style of pod filter (i.e. the same as the V6 Magna engine)?

According to RPW it does, but then K&N specify a totally different filter to RPW, and Ive seen other 2l Lancer with different filters again.

2) Secondly does the MAF sensor have to be placed directly beind the air filter, or in the case of a CAI, can the sensor be up near the thottle body, and the air filter down in the front bumper? Like this http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=4323 ?

3) Does anyone know if the springs in the CE Lancer are the same as in the CG? According to some manufacturers they are, but according to King Springs current catalouge they are different. However I'm sure in the older King Sprinks cataloge they had the CE and CG listed as having the same rear springs.

GF bought a Lancer, much work ahead.......

Thanks

i don't think the lancers need a specific pod.

no the afm doesn't have to be directly behind the pod. you can leave the afm where it is and have piping locating the pod in the boot if you really wanted, LOL.

i'd say the current kings catalogue would be correct.
