Go the Verada bumpers. Three days after I got my Verada, I went driving
in the city and on the way back, heading down hill on Frome St off North
Tce, this idiot in a commodore slammed on his brakes for no reason (I'm
guessing that he's trying to get people to rear end him to claim on his
insurance). I was doing sixty and put my anchors on (abs worked hard).
Stopped with a metre to spare and went phew, that was lucky, then I hear
screeching noise and bang, someone rear ends me. I was too busy been
pissed off to note down the number plate of the car infront of me. Got out
of my car and as I was walking towards the back, noticed that the guy
who hit me was driving an old datsun and his right headlight and was all
smashed, part of his grill was damaged and his bumper was slightly
dented (he hit me on an angle) and I thought to myself, I don't want to
see the damage to my car, but what do you know, there was only a slight
abrasion on the bumper face that was easily polished off). I went from
happy to sad and to happy all within a minute.

Same here Vlad; it was a bit wet and I stopped for a tram to let off passengers but the row of cars behind me weren't really paying attention. Bang, Bang, the car behind me hit square in the bumper and the 3rd car hit the 2nd car.

It was quite a jolt but all I got was some tiny nicks in the plastic but no paint fractures or damage. I just said to the girl don't worry about it but I keep kicking myself that I didn't claim on her insurance for a bumper respray anyway; that way I would have used the $$$ for other things.

Another time an AU falcon swiped my rear right; I was stopped and she went full throttle thinking it was a green light. Her FL guard was rooted and all folded into the wheel; smashed headlight, bumper etc. All I got was some minor fractures in the bumper paint and bumper fell down about 3mm or so. Her insurance paid $850 which I used for new suspension :P. I have not repaired the damage and coincidentally have only just today fixed it with touchup paint.

Damn our cars are tanks

You guys are luck i own a 1996 magna ts advance which i lent my mate, who managed to crash it into 5 trees and cost me $6000 damage. I thougth well we all **** up, and he said that he would pay for the damages if i didnt report it to the cops, therefore vioding any insurance claims.
this was cool up untill it came to payin the pannel beater when my friend decided to pike on me and ditch me with the bill leavin me 6 grand out of pocket and with one less mate.

Damn I feel your pain. That would be soo bad. I don't think I would lend my car to a mate cos they are all rev heads lol. I would go over to his house and punch his lights house. That's really irresponsible of him, not to mention cowardly too.

I am sorry to see the damage however what difference does the mans race or religion make to the fact he ran into you?

Chief

I understand what you're saying Madmagna but I don't think his intentions were to discriminate against religion. The way I read it, he was just explaining in detail what exactly happened. I could be wrong but that's the way it sounded when I read it. 8)

After he died, I sent away to Rob Vickery down in Vic, and paid $5 each for them and got em back.

Oh, and Madmagna, chief is right I am NOT a racist, infact not even close. His nationality doesnt mean shit to me, thats just how I explain things. If It had of bothered me him bein muslim, dont you think I would have actually said something derogetry about him?
