was just wondering, do all 4wd have diff offsets and what not when it comes to wheels. i was looking at getting some sunraysia wheels on a nissan navara

yes they vary, but the trye shop will get you the right one....

dosent matter as much on a 4x4 though if its for bush use if the wheels stick out a lil bit more, just as long as nothing is stressed, it better to have a wider track!

90% of the 6 studs stud pattern is the same though eg rodeo hilux etc... in 6 stud theyare the same stud pattern, but toyota makes the lux with 5 & 6 stud :nuts:

i will be looking at picking up a second navara on the weekend, its a 1988 navara 4x4 is there anything i should look out for when buying a second hard 4x4.

rust
hub bolts and make sure the hub locks move easily
make sure the lever to engage 4wd moves easily and freely
oil
water
brake fluid
i dunno thats all i can think of now

if its a deisel ensure its running fine. The only thing stopping these motors are maintenance. Our patrol got stopped at 480000 only because of the head gasket blowing which led to cracked pistons... Gearbox is still fine too. Cooling system. Check the radiator fins aren't rusted either.

lol funny thing is half the exhaust rotted off and it was no louder.

Rust in the nissans can be prominent in the window sill and doors. Check low 4wd gears all work properly. ****ing awesome cars.

for the state of the top internals god it ran good.

Love our patrol. P plate car. I was going to restore it but couldnt afford it. It's ok cause dad's paying for it to happen instead.

would the rwc pick up the rust. cos the car im picking up will be sold with a road worthy

im new to this whole 4wd, does anyone have anyideas of any good forums or reads that might help.i ahve no idea what those front hubs are for and what the other gear knobs are for beside the ones u use to change gears like normal. so yeah a complete noob
