Gday, My TE Magna is in need of new tyres & shocks, i was wondering if anyone can recommend any tyres for a nice smooth ride?? Im only running 205/65/15 and the car has been lowered 35mm, im currently running sumitomo tyres but not happy with the performance (or lack of it) any ideas would be appreciated...She is also in need of shocks/struts any recommendations in this area would also be appreciated.....Keep in mind im on an economy budget not a performance budget. Thanks for taking the time to read this....

Can't beat the old RE92's for a comprimise between performance and economy.

RE 92 are a good compromise
if you want a set that don't compromise ride quality for handling / grip look at the goodyear ducaro's
not sure if they make em in 15's but in 17's they are about $300 each
in tires you get what you pay for
as for shocks the best bang for buck shock imo are KYB

a set of Monroe GT gas is around $500

as for tyres, maybe consider a set of 17" + rubber deal, there are some going for cheap these days.

+1 on the KYB's, can get them cheap and good shocks that will last, and support the lowering

What is a good price on the KYB's I'm up for a new set as well. I was quoted $440 to supply Munroe Gas, .

monroe shock will die within 6 months if you have up graded spring rates at a lower ride height
well mine did anyway
boge are good but dunno if they are available for the magna but cost about 600pr for the VN

KYB = about 300pr plus fitting

i reccommend shocks!, they are better than not having any

cant go wrong for a daily with the re92's or 88's or what ever takes your fancy...

KYB's good stuff cheap too $400 a set of 4 is good!

i have munroes and no sspension travel and have punched them to death but they are holding up well :P

Gday, Is there any difference between the RE88 & RE92's??? I have to put two tyres on the front next week...i cant believe the difference in wear between the front and back tyres...i know i should have had them rotated, the back are like new. Im going to look into prices for those shocks/struts that have been recommended, as long as i can get them at the right price i can fit them myself.... Thanks for the advice, theres nothing worse than buying something and finding its not best suited for the job, hopefully with the new tyres and shocks it will drive more like a car and less like a vibrator............
