ok I this is the sad tale of my magna TM,
This is the car that I brought to fix up and get a roadworthy, I brought 4 or so months ago and because of the fact I had to work and also source parts
(also I had to replace a automatic gearbox on a tarago) it been sitting in the front yard..
now I have the parts and the time (well almost) I discovered a nasty looking rust spot just below the rear door

I am wondering if the ppl who do the roadworthys would let that pass and if not wot would need to be done ?

Thats no biggy, its not on a major panel like a door or anything, just get to it with an angle grinder and plenty of bog.
With the position its in it shouldnt be too hard to cut it out and then bog it up, then just go over with some black engine enamel or something along those lines, once you get everything you need together it shouldnt take too long at all, its just a case of cutting all the rust and and filling in the empty hole with bog then sanding, smoothing and painting, easy done. And Im guessing that wouldnt pass a road worthy as it looked pretty nasty, but I could be wrong.

That wont pass roadworthy these days mate.
Cut as much as you can out with an angle grinder first.
Get some fisholine from autobarn and spray heaps into that hole, cause there is going to be more behind it dude, soak it heaps, and leave overnight.
Then buy some bog cause it is easy to work with and fill up the hole and make it protrude out a little, give that an hour to cure properly then sand back to the same level as the rest of the panel.
Then apply some all in one primer, and some matt black paint over that, and your done.

After talkin to a copple of panel beaters today they told me (bedises no one @ their shops like workin on rust) as long as I cover the hole up (with bog or fiberglass) then it would pass as road worthy.
So I am just going to bore out the rust, spray a ton of that fisholine stuff inside it then I fix the hole with fiberglass and finaly spray can the whole strip.. as long as I get on to in within the next 2 weeks (money issues) it should go well (I try to keep you posted)

that rust spot may look small but once you cut it out it will be twice as big as it will be infected with rust further under the paint

just remember bog and glass are only cheap temp fixes, the rust will come back as bog is not designed to get wet which it will inside the door.
You could also try pick a part for a new door of the same colour as they have heaps of tm - p magna's
