lol
The reason I ask is I'm looking at some replacement trim, and its for the KJ seats, and wasn't sure if the seats were the same as the KH. I'm not looking to swap the KH seats for KJ, just using KJ covers/retrim.

yes them ebay seat covers for $350 will fit, but you need a trimmer to modify them, search for Mohit's thread on this. the trim pattern is the same, but note the ones on ebay are beige not grey as 90% of veradas, although the beige looks nice though!

Yeah I quite like the beige/cream as opposed the grey. Grey looks good, but I think that colour looks better.
I'll lookup Mohits thread for fitting.

yep thats true cause they were from export Diamantes with dual electric seats. the passenger one is wider with holes cut in it.

why not do they group buy, and buy the faux leather? get it in black, better suited for the car (wont need so much custom work done... some of the total figures for the ebay ones are around the $1k mark fully done) and u can get black :D
MitchellO

That's $1k installed? That's not bad.

You sir are an Idiot!!!
i was a wholesale automotive material rep for 5+ years selling to all the trimmers and upholsters you can think of...
to modify these verada covers it will take a decent trimer 1 hour to swap the panels around here and there... all up fitted it will be cheaper than the **** your talking about
and you suggest going to a seat cover thats cheap PVC thats not auto grade!!!! sure they say it is but is domestic upholstery grade worth $6p/lm thats tin as and fits over existing seat covers!
sure better if you have an exec magna, but if you have verada seats these are a direct fitment, with minor mods needed to the passenger seat base, then you have Factory Finnish leather (factory leather is combination, yet it's auto grade leather)
i have seen heaps of these EBAY covers in person, and whilst the look good in pics you are an IDIOT if you even consider putting them in a Verada...
:edit:
if you want black they can be professionally colored, and it's not like painting, it's guaranteed

See that's my concern, that the pictures are flattering the covers.
Honestly what I would like are genuine Verada leather seats. I've seen people in the past wanting to swap their Xi leather for the fabric/whatever seats in the Ei, so I might post up a swap + cash thread.

the $350 EBAY verada leather interior is FACTORY made diamante (read verada) leather seat trims, they do not fit over the top of existing seat trims, they were made here in aus for mitsu both dom and export models, i believe it was done by Howe leather!
the seller on ebay is sofijav from memory THERE THE REAL DEAL, dont buy 2nd hand get them!

I scored an original leather kit designed for the American Mitsubishi Diamante off eBay Australia for $350. The leather kit was modified and fitted by Blackman & Sons Leather Trimmers in Moorabbin (link) for $650. Total cost for this mod was $1000.
680 incl door trims in gathered and glove box as well as the extras needed to fit this set ie behind map pockets and replacing the piece with the holes in it all with leather $680+$350(buying them) = $1030
now again, **** off

sorry man go cry some now!
as it so happens, i know several trimmers.... and without doing Mates rates deals i can get them for less than the plastic seat trims installed, i happen to know the shop where he had them done quite well, and i can tell you i know several other places that do better work for 1/3rd the $$$ where he had them done, it'd be like taking a magna to be serviced at porsched dealership but with proton mechanics.... if you get my point

You definitely won't be disappointed if you go with the eBay Diamante leather seat covers for $350. Any good auto trimmer can modify and fit them and make up the extra bits you need such as leather door trims and vinyl seat back map pockets

Well that's certainly good news ;)
The leather seats for the Verada, for local and export market were outsourced to Hendersons in S.A.
The Factory's cut and sew department only worked on the cloth seats (during the Mitsu era).
However they did do the fitting to the seat frame.
If any one is interested with some leather alteration work (in SA), I can help you out easily. My mother worked in the Cut and Sew department at Chrysler/Mitsubishi for over 30 years. She is retired now (sine 2004), but has bought her old industrial sewing machine off Mitsubishi when they outsourced the whole cut and sew shortly after her retirement. If you supply all the parts and raw materials, she can do any trim alterations that you require. Her charge will be for a nominal pecuniary arrangement. She is not a motor trimmer, just a qualified sewing machinist.
If this is of any help to considerations for your leather/cloth re-work, then it could be an option for you. I hope this helps.
P.S. I already Ok'd it with the ol'dear and she is happy to help out. PM me if your interested.
