Anyone who can answer all these questions deserves (imho) the title of MAGNA KING.
Having changed from TS to TJ, I wonder about the following.
-What are differences between Standard TJ (exec, Advance, Solara etc) and Sports engines. I know Sports has more free-flowing exhaust, but do they have use the same camshafts? Is engine mapping the same?
- 0 to 100 km time for standard Magnas?
-Surely in auto form the Advance, Exec etc will be about as quick as the Sports. The difference (Kw and Nm) between Sports and the standard models is not much and the standard models deliver max torque at 500 rpm lower.
- Maybe the fact that Auto Sports is 5 speed makes it faster. But every gear change (assuming more gear changes are involved), means extra time needed to get to 100km/h. Maybe with 5 gears only 2 or 3 changes are needed in Sports to get to 100km/h, so always closer to ideal toque with the extra gear (and same no of changes as standard models).
-Are auto transmissions of Sports, VRX etc stronger than Standard models? If not this is a pending disaster, especially with no cooler. Does AWD use same auto transmission, with no cooler?
-My understanding is 4 speed and 4 speed Tiptronic are same box, only electronics allow one to do the shifting.
-Is 5 speed tiptonic a stonger transmission than 4 speed tiptonic.
-They all seem to be called Invecs II
-It seems the standard models and Sports have same ground clearance. is this true? What is difference in suspension between Standard models and Sports, other than bigger anti-roll bar (bars-front and rear?)? I assume standard models use Monroe shocks. What about Sports?

1. The rear muffler and engine mapping is the only difference except for Ralliart.
2. The 0-100 times are different between 3.0 TF out to 3.5 Ralliart with a number of revisions in the middle such as AWD for these I suggest you read a review, but for TJ 3.5 155 Kw one claim is 9.2 seconds to 100
3. Yes not a huge difference in time between trim differences
4. If on paper it is not better, in practice the 5 speed auto is better than the 4 speed.
5. Yes the transmission is the same and it’s not a disaster it was simply over engineered to begin with to cope for better models later down the track.
6. Yes they are the same box between 4 speed and 4 speed tiptronic just the computer system is more elaborate.
7. Between 5 speed tiptronic and 4 speed tiptronic, 5 speed is stronger.
8. Yes they all carry the Invecs II name it has more to do with the auto shift fuzzy logic controller than the ability to shift gears manually.
9. I can not remember the differences between shocs but I can tell you that sports was first introduced in the TF series. At the time of the TF the only differences were the sway bars and a drop in hight by 10mm. Also the wheels are usually bigger on sports / VRX over the rest of the range
TF sport 16 x 6 normal 15 inch
TH sport 16 x 6 normal 15 inch
TJ sport and series 1 VRX 16 x 7 normal 15 inch
TJ limited edition series 1 VRX and series 2 VRX 17 x 7 normal cars 15 inch
TL / TW VRX 17 x 7 normal cars 15 inch

More like 8 seconds for auto... less for manual.
