I recently bought a set of EVO4 twin pot calipers + racing pads + Project MU competition 2 piece rotors for about $450... so no I don't think it is a good price.

Allow about $120 for new brakes lines as the old ones will not fit, and $140 for 2 seal kits (if needed).

Oh and they DO fit, they are exactly the same as the Ralliart/AWD twinpot rotors, same part number and everything.

They'll fit, EVO4 calipers are the same as the ones used in the ralliart and awd magnas. This is regarding the fronts, I'm not sure about the rears.

EDIT: Just realised this has already been covered, sorry.

$500 seems a bit steep compared to what I payed when I got mine ($200), but I did get mine off an AMC member, and perhaps there was less demand for them back then.

I wish it sat in the driveway...... it sits in the corner of dusty workshops.

gonna hi jakc this thread with noob questions.

1) Can i upgrade the front rotors and calipers on my FWD to AWD spec only, or does it have to be all 4 wheels?

2) anyone selling AWD/ralliart brakes by chance?? :P

Most people like myself have done front only, doesn't seem to upset front-rear bias noticeably.

This is because AWD rotors dont't fit the FWD rear hub without a custom spacer, and no one makes aftermarket rotors for the rears (meaning something obscene like $350 each from mitsu). However it seems DBA does, or at least may make the rear rotors?

Thanks Chisholm

So roughly whats the front setup worth? would i be better off looking for a wrecked ralliart/380 and just borrowing aforementioned calipers/discs and using them? Or calling mitsu up? PM me if you want to answer my annoying questions lol.

I'm not sure what the "going-rate" for them at wreckers is, I'm guessing it varies a fair bit, since there aren't that many sets floating around. I guess unless you're very patient, it's basically a case of snapping up a set whenever you happen to come across them.

Your best bet is ringing around wreckers, but be warned, it may be quite a long wait. Occasionaly a set exchange hands here, so be on the lookout to pounce:) If you come across 380 brakes for a decent price, they are much the same, if not a little better, so grab em!

Mitsi spare parts will charge you an arm and leg for them, last I hear they were $800 per side for new ones :gtfo:

The group buy Megatron is running at the moment supplies 380 calipers, slotted rotors, pads and braided lines for $950.

You could look around various wreckers, but you'd probably be hard pressed to find a wrecked 380 this soon. A parted/wrecked AWD will be your best bet; bear in mind that the calipers may need to be rebuilt, depending on how worn they are.
