hi guys

my engine light is coming on for a few seconds then off and back on

the car is running rough while accelerating like if the air flow sensor was faulty or if its not getting enough fuel

any idea

you need to put it into diagnostic mode and check the fault codes. only problem is that you need to do it while it is doing it.

Not true. Codes are stored.

mine didn't. i had the engine light come on when i was driving and it was running a bit crappy, and then by the time i had found the fault code list and went and tried it it came up with nothing and it was running fine again.

Could be throttle position sensor (TPS), oxygen sensor or air flow sensor. Oxygen sensor generally shouldnt cause it to run rough that i know of, but i recommend getting Mitsubishi to check the computer for fault codes then u'll know for sure. I dont know if they charge for the check but it's always been free for me.

when i changed the ECU to haltech the light was on forever.. Turned the engine light into my shift light..:P
