the flange on any sr20 and ca18 turbo is t2. t25 and t28 turbos use the same flange. s15 and late s14 turbos are t28, s13 and early s14 are t25. ca18 are a t25 but they are smaller than the t25 on the sr20.

If I'm interpretting this correctly he just said that the CA18DET Silvias (earlier S13) had the t25 turbo...

On a side note.. doesn't the t28 have a t3 flange? Or is that the same as a t2?

"s13 and early s14 are t25. ca18 are a t25 but they are smaller than the t25 on the sr20"

so that means that early s14's have the sr20 with a t25 on them but its a bigger t25 than on the CA18 thats in an s13 yeah?

oops hang on i am getting a bit confused with the vct (which s2 s14 had but not s1). all s14 had a t28. the t28 used on s14's is only a bush bearing turbo, where as the s15 went to a ball bearing. all s13 sr20s ran a bush bearing t25 (even the late model 180sx with the black top motor - all they did was change the colour of the rocker cover). i'm also pretty sure the sr20 in the gtir used a bush bearing t28 turbo as well.

the sr20 in the s13 had a bigger t25 turbo than the ca18 in the s13.
