Hi all, done a couple of searches re this topic and no joy so here is my problem. I have a 1995 TS Magna Executive 4cylinder 2.6l auto. was running fine except for miss in number two cylinder. blown head gasket? (well, very fine bubbles in radiator) changed head gasket, put it all back together, motor will not start. It fires but will not run. Suspect valve timing but the cam sprocket stayed on the rest at the front of the head so I do not understand how it has gone wrong. One other point, there is a steel dowel in the cam sprocket but it does not engage the cam just the distributor gear, is this correct? Hope somebody can help. Cheers

with the TS you may not have released the chain tensioner down on the oil pump

that dowel must line up with the cam
