just bout to change them and i was wondering if i have to bleed the brake fluid and put new fluid or can i just change the pads without changing the brake fluid? thanx

i done mine on my second gen with out bleeding , when we done then we took a little bit of the fluid out of the break thing and just pushed each pistion in carfully, one person watched the fluid thing and the other done the work

i have never bled the brakes when i changed the pads.

if you haven't ever topped up the fluid you shouldn't need to take any fluid out.

went ahead and did them took about 30mins. didnt bother bleeding them but brake fluid came out from the engine bay reserve part. drove it and works fine. easily done.

did you take some out so it wouldn't over flow?

no it overflowed and some come out like that. but then it went down a bit when i drove. all good now.

just make sure that there is enough fluod in there

It's a good idea to "bleed" brake fluid once a year to totally flush the system.
10 bux annually to keep the system as fresh as possible - it's the brakes after all.
