I was bored with the stock craptastic light in my TJ so I decided to install a LED tube light. I took out the old one and wired in the new one. Since it is wired directly to the old wires, it turns on and off with the boot as the stock one does but it is slightly different since I finished it. The boot LED does turn off except for the 2 LEDs closest to the wires. They are far from 100% brightness, but they are just on. I thought it was tied to the interior light as it turned off when I locked the car, but I tried by putting the car on Acc (I think that's what it is ... with everything working but the engine not running) which turns the interior light off, but this was still on. Is this something that will drain the battery? As I said it did turn off when I locked the car and I always have it locked anyway (Either that or it locks itself!). I love the look but don't want to drain the battery. Does the stock light do the same but it is so faint you don't notice it?

led's hardly draw any current. not something i would worry about.
