Hi there all, very new here, was looking around at a cheap runaround car but got this KS Verada for an absolute bargain and very very happy with it, intend to keep for a while.
Just a few questions:
a) How do you remove the speakers to replace them. do the front door trims need to come off or can you get away with just removing the spealer pod / map tray. Are they 6" or 6.5". Which size tweeters fit in the cover on the inside of the side mirror, I noticed there was a little triangular clip that pops out for the tweeter. I was looking at the jaycar splits but not sure if the tweeter may be too deep. Is the bass driver depth OK.
b) With the back speakers does the parcel tray need to come out as it appears the speaker grills are fastened somehow, it's looks like they're screwed down from inside the boot and the screws for the speakers are under the parcel tray.
c) Do you think I should do away with the dash speakers as they will sound pretty crap as I intend to have the jaycar splits front and back and a 10" JBL Sub in the boot running off a few jaycar amps of cause.
d) How about the standard wiring, should that be OK, I know I'll ned heavier wiring for the amps but just curious about the speakers.
