hay guys

just wondering has anyone ever thought of building a tuff looking old school street machine out of say a tj or something?????

just had the thought while cruizin with my brother in law in his hq 2door monaro.
the first thing people do is slam it to the ground and put the biggest most blingst wheels they can find on. i want to be different!

lowerd a bit with something like 15 by 8'' convo pros with 235-60-15 would look tough. no body kit or wings. and maby twin dumps out the rear????

what do ua think????

mmmmmmmmmm i dont think you can go for the old school look in a magna. just doesnt sound right. but go for it and post some pics, but sounds like what most ppl on this site do, im not really sure what you mean by old school, when refering it to a old HQ monaro.
sounds like you want somthing like EGO's car, i wouldnt call it oldschool, but it looks great

whilst your at it why not sell the efi gear and whack on a carby?
get good money for the disc brakes, so sell them too and Drums FTW!!

why not put front runners on it and 265's on the back?

magnas are a cheap economical family car dude, want something other than that, buy a Hq and go nuts..

read a ***** machine mag lately? the old skool dudes are all about sound systems big rims and modern performance now, gone are the days of the crappy old bombs with widies lol

i have owned enough old cars to know, do them up properly of keep stock appearance with subtle mods no one would know aren't genuine, actually i prefer all cars 20yo and older to be stock looking, not into modified rides

As the years roll on by, and after every man and his dog have modified their cars to buggery...then you notice that the well kept stock cars, kept in neat original condition, outshine all others.... Look at what enthusiasts are doing with the Vintage cars of the pre-war years.

Thats a great point, and I do notice that actually. But I want my car to look good when I've got it, not average now, then fantastic for the next owner if they keep it in pristine condition...

so what you're trying to say is that convo pros are rice now?

jesus better tell 75% of the serious drag racers in aus that they have ricey looking cars then....

not saying that i like the idea of what he is suggesting but research what you're saying before you post.
