OK most seem to tell me that pioneer h/u's are crap, they end up giving mass feedback etc, but is this for all pioneers heads or just some? cos theyr so tempting at the price!

i have a pioneer DEH 6850Mp, best thing ever, 3 preouts 1 dedicated to sub, full ipod control, 2 auxillaries, sub control/sub inversion, EQ 7 settings, HPF inbuilt, list goes on and on, and at 300 bucks it was awesome (retail was 540, i got staff price).
Just remember that feedback/signal noise can often have nothing to do with the HU make sure your grounds are good etc, i have never had a prob with mine, however the JVC units look tempting on a $$ vs $$ basis.

I've never had any problem with Pioneer, in 15+ years of use, and sold heaps when I was in that game. Best service for returns/ repair under warranty of all brands. Most problems for any brand usually revolve around the install, get it done properly if you aren't confident with diy, will help if you have any warranty issues too. Best tuners also.

For the $$$ not much will beat most Pioneer decks. Alpine and Eclipse have some nice offerings and beside the top line Clarion / JVC for the average person, Pioneer has plently of usable features ( in built HPF, sub control, 3 band parmetric eq, ease of use )

hey spacky dont you work @ strathfields from memory???
i had a 3560 or something like that and for 300 it was decent. Mp3, remote, 2v pre-outs though.
My eclipe is much better value really for 400 i got hpf and lpf, sub controls, 5v pre outs, mp3 and a 'mortalised' face.. It's supposed to be motorised.

Pioneer are the bomb. I'm happy with my DEH-P7850BT bluetooth unit.
does everything but make hot chocolate.
