hi guys, i have a magna TL and the stock alarm is giving me a headache... after i locked up the car, maybe give me like 30 min or so, the alarm would start to go off.... any suggestion on how to rectify the problem or solve it?? i was wondering if it was one of my doors not tight enough but i dont think so... one possibility is the engine bonnet sensor... any idea on what scenario does the alarm sound off??

there may be a small relay for the stock alarm system behind the
drivers side dash in a seperate fuse cluster
that maybe your problem
to this question " any idea on what scenario does the alarm sound off??"
no this worked better
"I cut the wire to it ... removed the alarm while it was working
and crushed it in a bench vice till it stopped squaking "

check your door lock sensors i.e. the lol rubber covered knobs that are springy, i have heard that its a problem on other makes, dunno about magnas. failing that try a reset of the battery and all your alarm FOB's. and failing that buy a new alarm :P.

Any other electrical mods? stereo? etc?
May be your battery on the way out? May be a current leak somewhere, im not sure what the stock alarms use to trigger but many aftermarket alarms sense voltage changes, if your volts are getting low it may think the powers been cut.

This worked for me a couple of years ago. They aren't that hard to pull apart. Clean the contacts and whack them back in again.
Oh yeah, don't lose the wiring inside the car!!!!!!
