Now I know Im still new at the Magna thing but one thing ive noticed is that the frameless windows leak a bit. One of them is actually sticking out a fair bit from the rest of the car, but the dealers gna look at that, but he tells me that wind leaks in magna frameless windows are inevitable and that i just gotta live with it.
please tell me this aint so???
Oh and are they supposed to rattle a bit if you close them while the window is all the way down???
Cheers

by dads TF used too leak, all i done was it got some sellys (i can't think the name of it, its a yellow colour) and stuck ithe black seal up never leaked again.
with the windows, every 3rd gen i have been in or drove has done the same thing. when his car was under warenty and he took it back to mitsu and they paced some tape with foam stuff inside the door some where, it made a difference but not munch.

Yes, frameless window leaks are inevitable. The way they seal onto the upper rubber seals is usually the culprit... They cop a lot of abuse.
All doors will rattle when closed with the window down, at least in my last three cars, and my brother's car they have.

when the window is down a little yes they rattle a lil bit when you shut the door
sticking out, than an alignment issue or somethings not right inside the door, off the track or something
wind leak..... try late model TL/TW rubbers and metal window surround!
i have a TJ awd and it had a black windowe surround, i swapped it to a early 1 piece chrome of maybe a TE or something... before when it was stock it would never leak in an automatic car wash, now both rear windows let water in in the automatic car wash (yes it's installed correctly, just the design may have slightly varied over the years)
also as cars get older the rubbers get squashed!
but magnas are far better than some other framless cars! i dont een realise they are framless anymore, untill you open the door with the window all the way down.... how cool it that!! lol

Well i've got a 98 TF and they don't leak at all, and as far as i know they haven't been replaced. Although they do rattle a bit when you close the door with the window down.

I have a TH and it only leaks on particular angles to the wind, all i do is push the seal back into place and its usally fixed or i just turn the music up!

I solved my problem - got a SC, now I cant hear the noise over the belts
Its been back to the dealers twice, they fitted a new door seal and made it worse

I just assumed my windows rattle when they are down because the original owner used a dodgy place to put on an after market tint.*shrug*
It helps a bit if you wind them down further than you want to go and then wind them up a little bit. (say 1/4 turn for those of us with winders) ;)
Does anyone else have a problem with the brushes on the outside of the windows? They've been rubber on every other car we've had.
Whenever I wash my car, the inside of my door gets wet and then when I wind the window down the clean, dry window comes back up wet on the outside!

You can actually adjust the angle at which the window closes to the rubber (to get the glass to press in harder against the rubber) for the front windows. That black triangle thingy at the leading edge of the front windows is adjustable to trim the window angle. You have to remove the door trims to get at it and use sockets/spanners to adjust.
I believe you can change the angles on the rears a little by undoing the channels inside the door which guide the window. I've never done it though.
