Hi guys, my 95 rada has a bad idle problem. Like most 2nd gens, when the air con kicks in it idles low, sometimes as low as 400rpm and stalls if u r reversing. Anyway the worst part is it goes the other way randomly, idles WAY to high. In P or N it can be as high as 2400rpm! With a/c going it lowers it 300rpm or so but thats still an annoying problem. Any ideas appreciated.. hope its a cheap fix!

I would borrow a ECI /ECU and see if it makes a difference
or do a diagnostic

unless a faulty TPS or temp sensor can cause that much variation in rpm on a V6

the aircon is coming on and off so its working ok

are the revs steady without aircon on?

Whats it idle at in drive at the lights?

Could be the ISC not set correctly or faulty

Check the TPS for corrosion and clean
