u also might wanna check ur thermo fan to see if its still working.

a hole?? are u losing water??
I generally hafta top mine up every 2nd month or so, as far as i can tell i lose it through the overflow on really hot days.

btw (u probably know this) when ur filling the radiator, the motor should be running, i think its to stop air pockets forming in the motor and to stop the head cracking from the sudden gush of cool water. I could be wrong about the theories tho, but many a mechanic i know recommend doing it

I had the exact same problem. It turns out that the radiator just got blocked from all the sludgy sh*t that forms through the engine. This inlcudes solastic, gasket pieces, loose particles from chemical washing etc.

There's a few things I've done. I replaced the radiator with a second hand one for $38. I've added a second, smaller radiator down below more closer to the bumber. Also, I've installed an electronic control that allows me to regulate the amount of time that the cooling fans are on. And lastly, for about $50 I'll be installing a radiator filter to prevent that crap from building up again (basically a high temp water filter).

Hey all,
also, as you're filling the radiator, squeeze all the bubbles out of the big fat hose on top of the radiator.

Also, at the minimum use rain water. Definately not Adelaide tap water. My car needed a new head cause all the shit they dump in the Murray in NSW and VIC really affects our drink water!
