Whitewall tyres folks, where did you get yours done?

I'm aware none of the guys from Townsville have them done, but there are people out there who have got whitewalls put on their tyres, so if I could get an idea on what places do that sort of thing, that would be great.

yep thats how many have done them on here, basically the rubber gets shaved back, and painted over.
something i'd consider, but would need to be before a show or something to get my moneys worth out of the work, being that it doesnt last forever

yeah it lasts as long as the tyres do!

i touch them up every 2-3 weeks takes less than 5min and looks brand new for another few weeks

it can last a while, mine lasted 2 weeks when i first go them done, silica tyres and previous history of tyre shine as well as low profile rubber dosent help!

do them on old skool 14" rubber and keep the high pressure and tyre shine off them and they last ages

they guy who did mine has a new liquid rubber, claimed to last much longer than before, but takes 24hrs to dry! stuff that i need my car, so im getting the crappy one and doing as i have done before


there are 4ppl that i have heard of that do this in vic, and they dont all do it the same, the guy i got mine done at shaves a groove into the tyre maybe 0.5mm or less into the side wall, the others just smmoth the sidewall and dont cut into it... (no good fo me as there is no guide to follow when touching them up)

got different rims, but back to the same kind now.... whitewalls on the way

It suits the theme...stylish and pimped. I don't see white walls suiting mustangs at all given their muscular aggressive stance. 1950s behemoths most definately

I agree I don't like the first....but low, chrome (big full chrome wheels, not spokes) and white walls work on a magna because it has very elegant classy lines.

Maybe... but even the full dish chrome 20's dont suit magnas. white walls make it even worse. lower all you like but i think it takes your eyes off the lines of the car.?

merry christmas, just the fake painted ones though, real white walls in modern sizes cost $$$$$ even propper wideband 14" white walls cost $300+ a tyre!

give me a week or two and i will have spiced up my white walls. my mate does mine and is always sayn to me anything you can imagine, got something coming from america for the nats but im looking to try something different this w/e. yellow pin stripes around a white wall look tough too.

every magna i seen looks sick with white walls, maybe you should be payin out the crap cars with white walls like commo's and keep the "multiple disses" off magna's, for all those who 20's are dinner plates they look phat! more people will look at a magna slammed on 20's then if theyre not, no offence though i run 18's more than 20's its just since i got 20's everyone has been saying its the only hot magna they have seen?(not my words mine is crap compared to magnas on here) so maybe 20's bring out the lines more?lol

also i was the first to get white walls and on 20's they were too :P and still is on 20's

You could always go some Flappers. Only work on your 15"s or bigger tyres.

My mates have minitrucks and they just have a white rubber disk that is held on by the beeding to the tyre.

they looks like white walls and are hell cheep. Only thing is they sometimes wear your real tyre after a while. They also flap like hell if you do over about 80km/h
