Now I have a question that’s kind of strange.

I’ve installed most of the stuff on my car for air bag suspension (- the struts) but I just need to know a couple of measurements which are hard to find. Then I can get my mate to weld some of the original strut pieces onto the new blank struts made to hold the bags.

This is a pain in the ass cause the struts don’t have bottoms or tops and you have to weld them on.

Back to the point does anyone know where I can get the following measurements for the front and rear of a TE magna? (Picture shown).

I need the compressed measurement just with the weight of the car( for a stock 96 Te magna) and the measurement from the same points but when the struts taken out of the car.

OR

I can probably manage to take the measurements of compressed myself. But the uncompressed do you think I could take the measurement buy just jacking the car off the ground? Would that be close to the measurement of taking them out altogether?

I’m so close all the electrics and stuff are working; it even squirts air everywhere in the boot. I’m just not confident in welding bits and pieces of old struts to my suspension. So I need the measurements to get my mate to weld it for me.

Thanks heaps.

FIXED!

Just went down the road and the wreakers had a full set for me cheap with springs and all.

so im going to just take the measurments from that. and use the second hand ones to weld onto the new struts.

Cheers for your help.
