ok guys jus wonderin how do we take the little fake air con vent in the console of my ks verada... madmagna replaced his with a diamante cup holder....

It just pulls off; held in by 2 retaining clips. To fit the cup holder though you need to remove the whole HVAC instrument assembly and cut behind the dash.

Have a look at Madmagna.com there are pics etc in the tech sheet of when mine was done

The job is easy on the verada, dash is about 20 - 30 mins to get out. The plastic, and that is all it is can be cut out in about 5 mins with the climate control out however it does get messy which is why i removed the dash.
You will also have to try and get hold of the cup holder itself.

Or you could just go ghetto and jam a Maccas cardboard drink tray in there :lol: :lol: :lol:

as dumb as it sounds i only wanted to take the vent out to clean :) hehe
tried to take it out wasnt havin much luck so didnt bother :)

Ah, my cupholders!

just do as i do, take out the ash tray in the centre console and place in glove box, and a macca's cup or can will fit in the ash tray position :p

I went to the wreckers and got a replacement ashtray for $2 and removed
the lid so that I can screw on a cupholder, the ones with a spring loaded
lever to keep smaller cups in place and drilled a hole at the bottom and
covered it with clear plastic so that the ashtray light shines through.
