hey guys.. im in brisbane and wanted to know where i can get a k&n air filter from for my 380 and how much... just looking at doing little mods to it.. already got an exhaust... thanks heaps

I got mine about 3 weeks ago from RPW - took 2 weeks to get delivered to me in Sydney. Apparently the supplier in Oz is Rocket Industries & I actually rang them today because I want to get another one (sold mine to Knotched) & the guy said they have none in stock but expect them in at the end of November at a cost of $91 plus GST. Just for the record, the part number is 33-2285 which is for the US Galant 3.8 (most places will tell you K & N dont make them for a 380 because they dont realise the 380 filter is the same as the Galant).

Further to this, I originally ran the K & N with the standard intake & was less than impressed with the results. I've since fitted the 90mm US intake and apparently the K & N works very well with this intake.

you can get one from autobarn at slacks creek, $125. they will have to order it in, mine took 2 working days.

Would love to, but nope. Waaay too far for me - Mt Gravatt is about 15 hours away. Can't get out of work due to end of year preparations for when we all go off on holidays.

If it was held in another 2 weeks, then I have a chance. Unfortunately I'd have to resort to being labelled be a Wangy - 'sides, who wants to see a stock 380 build anyway? Might be a different story after new year when I get parts ordered, but 'till then ..

EDIT - Oh yeah - called up the dealership about warranty on exhaust systems. Dude tells me its like rims. You can change them, but if in any way it is found to be detrimental to the unit then the warranty is void. Opinions, anyone?

And I hope you you have that 90mm intake on order, if you've done the exhaust, its a way better performance increase than the K&N and at half the price.

Just ordered my K&N from autobarn @ Macgregor in Qld. Akter Knotched said it crisped up the throttle response, (not that theres anything wrong with it now) anyway, still out of stock but overdue, but they only charged me $98.00. Cool. Paid in full before they adjusted the price.

$98 is a good price - the Oz supplier (Rocket Industries) sell them for $91 plus GST!!! They are suppose to get more in stock any day now so I hope to get one on Friday.

I wanted mine before the Qld Cruz on sunday. I dont think I will get it by then.
I will feel disappointed about spending this Hundred tho, after the exhaust (and tip) and 90mm for under $250.00, sure will lower the horsepower per dollar spent ratio.

Rocket Industries told me 2 weeks ago they would have K & N's in stock at the end of November. I've just got off the phone with them & the guy said they still havent got them in stock & wont be getting them until some time in January.

If Rocket are the supplier for them in Aust, anyone wanting a K & N could be waiting a bit longer than anticipated.

My order is filled, going to Pick it up now.
