Hey all,

Has anyone had any experience with these? Have a mate with a Mazda SP23 and we are going for the hole stock look. Obviously an aftermarket h/u would be better but he wants to do it this way. Gunna just wire up a 4x 50WRMS amp for the speakers and use the 4 speaker outputs as 4 channels of RCA and use the RCA out on the amp to send a signal to a sub amp.

I have not used these and know they levels on the converter themselves. Is it better to have these turned down and turn the gains up higher on the amp or vice versa ( like having 2V compared to 8V outputs I'm thinking ?? ).

Cheers.

Well if it's as easy as it should be, turning the gains up will only make it louder with turning the volume knob less ergo loosing the ability to finely tune the sound and making it easy to blow your old's ears out when turning it up/down and going over a bump.. as you would know..

I guess it'd be just like tuning an amp, but you have to tune them both instead of just the amps gains? pain in the ****!

I'd also take a chop at saying you'd be installing the line-level converter (let's call it the LLC cool) in/close as possible to the dash and the amp in the boot (which is what I'd do) but it'd certainly make tuning a bitch for you..

If cuzzybrohomeboy has a good ear perhaps he can adjust the LLC cool and you adjust the 4chan..

OR just set the amp to 50% gain and adjust the LLC cool to 1/3 and leave it at that and if he moans, rip it all out and set it on fire then pray a rhino doesn't come to stop out the fire (cause gods-must-be-crazy says they do that)...

Yeah the LLC will be nice and close to the deck for obvious reasons. Might try and put them in the glove box or something. Was mainly interested in the gains for RCA induction noises. I want to try and keep them low.

Bit of trail and error I guess. Eq is going to be shyt but at least it will look stock :D
