hi guys just thought id ask for some advice on my rims i have at present.ive got enkei bortex 18x8 in wheels with nexen 235/40/18 tyres on it, suspensions stock but when u turn (and only this side) the wheels to left hand full lock (i.e steering wheel is turned completely to the left) i get a sound like a tyre rubbing on the wheel liner which isnt it, its actually rubbing on a bit of the chassis.now what size wheels in diameter and width is possible on an awd without this occuring id like to keep the wheels as in my opinion most other ones on the market look crap??

Hey I seen 17" on the AWDs & would have thought 18" would be alright? If i'm not mistaken MMAL recommends max = 16"

the offset will also play a part as to what size you can run.

as i have mentioned before

235/40/18 are the wrong size for a verada/awd, that tyre place should be shot!!!

18's are a hard size to get the correct tyre for but a 225/45/18 is better, but a very rare size

i had 20x8.5's on it now i have 20x7.5"

it only ever rubbed on full lock on the inside ctr side of car, but thats cos it's lowered several inches, it did not rub at all when it was at std height, but im using 225/35/20
