anyone done it, mate has a magna and verada wreck and is keen to do it, he knows his stuff but any pointers would be nice, cheers

I installed an after market one about 10 years ago. It came with a pickup coil and magnets to stick on a drive shaft. I didn't like that idea so picked up the wire from the red switch in the speedo that goes to the ecu.

It works well.

Biggest problem I had was mechanical in that I wasn't able to get the cable that works on the throttle to fully open it. As a result it doesn't kick down on hills when it should and I have to do that manually.
