Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I'm about to buy a TE Executive in the next couple days . It needs new tyres straight away so I have decided to give it some decent rims straight away. I'm looking at a set of Apec APs. The wheel size is 18 x 8. Does anyone know if these will fit on a TE with no problems such as the tyres scraping on full lock etc.? If there will be any problems with those i'll probably just go for a 17 x 7 rim which im assuming will fit easily...

Not if the offset is wrong.

Before you buy anything make sure you trial fit them or let us know the offset. Even 17x7s will rub with the wrong offset wheels.

most states now i dont think have the 2"diameter/1" wide rule, its all about rolling diameter.

I know. It's not all about the 2' rule. You still need to have your insurance okay it and you still need to find the right tires for load rating etc.

you are referring to the New NCOP which applies nation wide.

Hey yer thanks for all that but just closed the deal and the dealer threw a decent set of tires in so I wont be gettin the rims for a couple months now!

Yer ill ring and check with my insurance company before i get em too caus ive got a feeling that the premiums will go up with the 18s.
