My button on top of the automatic trans stick pops out and whatever is supposed to hold it there is broken...
To take button out normally what is the procedure? It does not explain in the workshop manual
Anybody got a spare of part which holds the button from popping out?

Be very careful of the little screw, they are bastards to get a replacement for.

there are two small clip like parts to the button itself, like a helmet buckle, where they pop out.
you'll need a new button, but they are only about 5-10 bucks with the full new rubber and spring bit for underneath it. I had the same issue

its held on with plastic clips. Mine has done the same thing, but it doesn't shoot out any more cos i was playing with the button one day and the spring thats in there shot across the car and onto the floor, never to be seen again

Take the spring out. It will still pop if you don't have your finger over the top and you slip it from R-N, N-D or D-N, but it won't go too far.
