put the new tyres on the front and the old front tyres on the back!

also try to stay with the same brand front and rear, you dont have to but it's better if you do

Turanza ER30 for me... love it... good tyres for what they cost me and size as well stuck to the road... ask any of the AMC members that have come onto cruises with me, "Chantra farewell cruise in the twisties" and this years GOR cruise they were all on the Turanza ER30's and the car can hold its ground even on stock springs...

I looked at the ER30... but decided on going a little better with the ER592. Very nice tyre for the money, and extremely quite.

the ER592 is another grade higher than the ER30 and it has nicer thread pattern to look at, if that tickles your fancy

I wasn't worried by tread pattern... I have a family car ;)

Just seemed to be ab all round better tyre for not much more.

isn't it about 20-30 bucks more per tyre?

its does also do everything that little better better than the ER30's but the ER30's were fine for me so i didn't need to go one up and i got the ER30's for $90 per tyre at one stage then $100 per tyre when Kmart Tyre and Auto had them on special

I had the Good Years old my old KE and they lasted forever (actually think they were still on the KE when I sold it).

+1 for the Good Years for me.

my dad had good year on his falcon as well and they lasted a while but he doesn't drive the car as hard as i do so i can't tell you if the grip was as good as the bridgestones.. i only recommended the ER30's because i have used them before and i was happy.. i now have good years on my VRX.. but i haven't got to change the tyres on them yet

Ive been through many different types of tyres on my 3rd gens from bridgstone, pirelli, michelin, falken etc. At the end of the day i went back to the ER30's. Yeah they might not be the best handeling of the lot but they are a good all rounder and most of all, they are QUIET which is needed in Magna's/Verada's with their suspension set up.

The best thing i ever did in regards to the tyres is going from the typical 215/60 16 up to 225/55 16 in the ER30. Totally legal, keeps speedo the same but offers more width with no side effects or trade offs. Unbelievable the difference in grip and best of all, the look. The extra width also stops any rim damage being done via gutters etc.
Only problem is the extra $$. They go from about $120ea in 215/60 to $200ea in 225/55 due mainly to the V rating.

I am curerently up for new tyres on the misses KJ AWD which currently has the 225/5516 on them in ER30. Went for replacment tyres and have been told they dont make the ER30's in that size anymore. They have upgraded/updated the ER30 to the ER300. Same qualities but much more grip. Also look better.

Am getting them on monday and will let you know how they go.

Here are some pics of the difference in the 215 and the 225 in the ER30 on my Rada's. The green one is the 225 and white is the 215.
