Hey there AMC members..

Got a question for all those that have fitted Pedders Sports Ryder suspension to their Magnas. please don't flame.... I bought the car like that....:redface:

I have the Pedders struts/shocks and springs and was wondering...

Since the car is pretty solid (I mean firm) would fitting standard VR-X rear shocks and front struts, with the Pedders sports ryder Springs fitted in these stock struts soften the ride quality ??
I'm usually loathed to lower cars anymore as I've had some annoying experiences, (Cracked chassis on an 86 corolla, and too low to get up driveways in certain suburbs)
I got the idea from a friend at work who has a VZ SS ute and he just fitted the sports ryder springs to the standard shocks and his seems a fair bit softer than my setup...

I really don't wanna go out and purchase a new set of springs etc but am interested who out there has done this to their cars....

The Magna really is a noodle and flexes all over... I fitted a front strut brace which helped immensly but I've discovered that on my firewall where the strut is welded to it is cracking the factory sealant... not good... I'm waiting for the structural manual for the TJ to see if it's just sealant or in fact something that needs attention...I'm not digging that out unless it needs to be repaired... Car has never been in a crash of any kind....I looked hard.

If it doesn't I can always fit standard struts and get the standard springs reset lower... I like the ride height of the setup now....

my car has stage 2 sports ryder suspension on the fornt, and stage 1 suspension on the back. Standard shocks all round. cars not to bad, but does feel alot of the bumps and holes lol. good for fast accelerations, and i can get up driveways wthout large curbs.:bowrofl:

hey in hearing that i have realised ive been screwed, i got stage one front and back knowning that there is stage 2's how much did u pay just for the fronts??
