Some veradas were missing said boot lid liner... There's a thread in the Third gen section about this I think, part numbers and everything!!

I want one for my second gen.

Edit: It's in this section funnily enough, http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21780

3rd Gens it was on XI Veradas. Be aware the KE/F/H liner has one more hole in it than KJ/L/W one, but still looks OK.

2nd Gens it was on KS Xi's.

Not sure on KR's.

i've got a boot liner. I got mine from an Elite, responding to Gas_Hed, KR's did not have the boot liner.

No mods required.

that's right, they'll clip into the small holes that are already there.

Yeah Nice mod,
On the funny side, its just more weight, and if gives appeal and comfort for someone riding in the boot, perhaps you don't really care for their opinion anywaylol

I think it went over some of your heads I mean mods as in using this as a base will be retrimming, filling it up with neons and adding a couple of sets of comp. splits in the boot liner so weight is not being considered :P

Meh... I ended up starting afresh... I think trying to use the original lid liner may prove more trouble than it's worth in the end..

Is there dynamat under those speakers?? i like your idea of the amp in the bootlid, however not the biggest fan or the speakers, seems like a waste of focals :(. But i agree that making a custom one will give better results, especially if you continue the type of workmanship already present in your car devil.

HEAPS of dynamat underneath, as well as seperate compartments for each speaker, so the midbass won't drive the mids into overexcursion. The hardest thing with bootlids, is trying to find the enclosure area for the mids... I used the focals, because each midbass needs only 6ltrs (6ltrs vas) to work properly. I gave em 8 ltrs to be sure :)

The amp in the bootlid doesn't get too much good publicity, so I thought I'd give it a crack to see if I could make it achievable. Amps tend to be the hardest thing to put in there, as there are many big cables to hide, ventilation to consider, weight, balancing of the lid, and issues with the physical securing of the heavy amps.

I probably wouldn't recommend anyone else do this, as it's been a great hassle to get it working right. In retrospect, I think I would take the top of the amp cover off, and have it the same position as the amp, and then mount the body of the amp away in a stealth position. It would still look like an amp was mounted there, without all of the associated issues that it would bring.

P.S. red devil... put ya car into the audio installs sticky!!!!
