Has anybody done it? Aside from the gearbox (obviously), what other parts and mods are needed? How much roughly for everything if ever?

Thanks

dont want to sound too negative here

but...

it would be easiser and cheaper to sell your car and get a later model with the 3.5L and 5spd auto

and would go a lot better too

it's not going to be that straight forward of a swap, the ecu tcu all in 1 for the 5spd auto so ecu swap then the engine isnt going to work, there is heaps involved....

just go manual it will be faster cheaper and easier :)

i can sell you a 5spd Tippy AWD 3.5L conversion for 12k! comes with bonus car with leather and 20's :D

could not agree anymore, was looking at converting my TF 3.0 auto to a 3.5 manual, looking for parts is hard enough then having to live life without a car and then pay for labour and you don't know if the person doing the conversion is dodgy... i just went out and bought 3.5 manual instead...

Alot easier to just buy a 5spd 3.5.

Youll need Gearbox, Shifter, Cluster, ECU, BEM, apppropriate wiring, then youll also need to pull the gearbox out etc, then if the shafts are different (dont think they are but not 100% sure). Could become very very costly.

Not worth it really.

Just out of curiosity, how hard is it to fit a 3.5l into a 3.0l manual TE?
