My cigarette lighter, or more so the 12V it puts out, is very important to me as it acts as a fridge, laptop, phone and camera charger though a small invertor during around oz travel's
For some reason it has stopped working and I cant for the life of me figure it out. I have pulled part of the dash out and all the plugs seem to be in order...has anyone else experienced this problem...or know if there is a separate fuse for the cigarette lighter anywhere?
cheers in advance for any help

have you checked the fuses yet? i can't remember what it is linked with. i think it is the radio.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is, but He would prolly notice the radio not working aswell.
Hmmm, might have to get the wiring checked.

after a fuse check replace the cig lighter
they can look ok ..you need a continuity meter or volt meter to test
bad earth or worn contact in the cig lighter
you can buy after market units to suit and fit it yourself
taking most of the dash and trim out isnt fun

very true, easy to take off hard to put back...after putting the front console back on my rear demister button got stuck pressed on, took a while to get the clips and buttons to align up again properly!
