ok guys, since iv put my spoiler on, my boot lid wont stay up. i adjusted the springs as far as i can go and it still wont stay up, it sits a bit less then half way up. any ideas of how i can overcome this? has anyone had this problem and fixed it beforehand? i did a search with no luck.

i have thought about drilling another hole but there isnt much room to do so because of the way the spring sits. i could possibly fit 1 more hole there but i dont think that would be enough to hold the lid up.

You need the Elante springs, they're stronger than the standard ones, to counteract the extra mass. Don't fit 'em to a normal boot though:bowrofl:

Can't say i have this problem cos I don't like adding wieght to my tp if i can avoid it:D
if you can't adjust it tighter why not replace the spring for a stronger one.
Like maybe some gate springs (they look similar just get the same lenght but stronger) from bunnings or something.

But is there a need for it to be proped up fully open that you could do with your hand:cool: .
or yea do what gav said.

on the day to day basis its not really a problem. but i do alot of camping and beach trips. its a bit hard to hold the boot open with your hand and at the same time take out or put in an 8 man tent or sum other ridiculously large and heavy item. i no i could always get someone else to hold the boot open, but its the convineance factor.

but yeah its not sumthing i had considered before i got the wing.
