Hi folks,
Im just shy of 300,000ks in my TJ and am starting to get stressed over getting the timing belt replaced.
Ive got an upcoming trip from Sydney to Adelaide so want to get it done before then.
Anyone know any decent mechanics in Sydney preferably around inner west but doesnt really matter who arent over-priced? Cheaper the better really as its one of those things that I never had budgeted.

Depending on what is the over budget price, but it should cost about $600+ for ALL up seals and belt etc.
I only did my belt as the seals were in great condition according to the mechanics. which save me heaps as mine is only a 4cyl it cost about $360.00 for the timing belt and balancing shaft to be replaced.

I'd recommend Phil Lim Automotive at Horsnby - Sydney northern suburbs though. You can find his details in the NSW garage thread.
He also has a loan car if you can book it in advance.
